Admin & Tuck Shop Assistant

Remuneration
The Admin Assistant position is an 8 week position.
This position starts at (Tier 1) $400/week + room and board.

Organization

  • The Admin Assistant reports to the Office Administrator and the Camp Director

Qualifications:

  • Have a heart for serving behind the scenes in camp ministry

  • Saskatchewan Class 5 licence (or equivalent) an asset.

  • Good computer skills.

  • Ability to handle cash and simple math skills.

  • Ability to answer the phone in a professional manner.

Expectations

  • Adhere to the Camp Kadesh Staff Manual and the MPSM Code of Conduct

  • Contribute in a positive manner to the Kadesh greater community

Responsibilities

TUCK SHOP DUTIES

  • Run tuck shop during check in on Sunday and before and after Friday closing program

  • Oversee and coordinate the LITs (Staff/volunteers) assigned to Tuck shop

  • Restock as inventory get low

  • Run staff line with cash and square.

  • Sell clothing and merchandise

  • Ensure tuck shop is opened and closed securely

  • Restock everything for the next day so all is ready. Keep Office Administrator advised of low stock numbers

  • management of cash box

OFFICE DUTIES

  • Respond to urgent emails (response or delegation to directors)

  • Answer the phone and deliver messages to staff and campers

  • Process payments

  • Manage lost and found list

PROGRAM SUPPORT

  • Label camper letters and prep for program office

  • Organize outgoing letters

  • Work with Directors on any admin support needed for Chapel (both weekly needs and speaker unique requests)

REGISTRATION SUPPORT

  • posts signs for washrooms/program/meds pick up

  • prep tuck shop so meds have a pick up window (closest to door)
