The follow are projects that we are fundraising to see happen.  Some are capital and some by the nature of them would be extra to a normal operations budget, but they are all things that simply can’t come from the fees that we charge for our programs in a normal year. Our goal this year is to fundraise between $100,000 - $150,000 which will cover the cost of the top 4 projects! To donate online scroll to the bottom of this page.

Zipline

What will it be like? It will be over 300 feet long, and sit at a similar hight to our climbing wall. Campers and students will be clipped in similarly to our Whipper and zip down a long cable at a high speed!

Who will get to use it? In Spring schools will be able to choose the Zipline just like any other program. In Summer the Zipline will replace the Mudpit in our “Ultimate Adventure” skill.

The Whipper 2.0

Why do we need it? Our Whipper has served us well over the years, but with it being so popular, it’s in need of repairs. With the cost of repairs, it seemed more financially wise to replace it with an upgrade. The “Whipper 2.0” will allow TWO campers to go at once! This won’t just speed things up for our busy Spring Groups, but make it more exciting, as everything is more exciting when experienced with a friend

New (to us) Boat

Why did we purchase a boat? Most years we would rent a boat to cover our boating needs for both Watersports and Tubing, but with the availability of rental boats being slim in 2022, we chose to purchase a new (to us) boat to fill in during this summer.

Will we still rent something next year? Right now it doesn’t seem like it, but who knows! We have talked about how this boat could rotate with our current boat to extend the life of both boats, and give us a spare if one boat has problems.

Cabin Renovations

As a team at Kadesh we work to make sure that every camper and parent thinks we are the best camp in Saskatchewan, and we are constantly looking at ways we can improve both our programs and our facilities. This fall, we have decided to begin renovations to overhaul the interior of our summer cabins. We do recognize that graffiti is an issue in many of our cabins, and this project will give us the ability to quickly eliminate graffiti and keep our cabins looking clean while also giving them a much updated look.

Shower House

Is this still happening? We hope so! Unfortunately the pandemic put us behind, and now the cost is much greater. Plus, as we’ve asked campers and parents what they want more, it has slowly moved down the priority list.

Why do we need a shower house?  Currently almost everyone at camp shares the bathrooms located in the main Chalet building.  The existing six showers (three per gender) serve about 200+ people on site each week. The Chalet is not that close to the cabins and in the middle of the night or in bad weather it would be great to have bathrooms more centrally located.  Even more so in our winter programming.

Where exactly is this Shower House going to go?  This new project will sit in the space between the cabins Swamp and Cabin 6.  This sits on a natural line between male and female cabins.  And keeps it central to all cabins without having to clear many trees or redirect any existing paths.
