Shower House Project
As a non-profit charity we work to keep the various fees at Camp Kadesh as low as possible. The fees that are paid for our programs are used to cover the operations of our programs.
To expand and build it takes generosity on the part of our supporters.
We know that most people would love to see us build a shower house to have bathrooms close to the cabins and to expand the number of people that can access washrooms at one time.
Campers would love it. Parents would appreciate it. Our staff would be SOOOOO happy.
Why do we need a shower house? Currently almost everyone at camp shares the bathrooms located in the main Chalet building. The existing six showers (three per gender) serve about 200+ people on site each week. The Chalet is not that close to the cabins and in the middle of the night or in bad weather it would be great to have bathrooms more centrally located. Even more so in our winter programming.
Where exactly is this Shower House going to go? This new project will sit in the space between the cabins Swamp and Cabin 6. This sits on a natural line between male and female cabins. And keeps it central to all cabins without having to clear many trees or redirect any existing paths.
What is the plan? The following are some different illustrations and drawing of what we are planning.
