Potential work Projects

The follow are projects that we have around our site that could be done by volunteers with the right passion and skills. In all cases we will work to supply all the tools and materials you need, but we are also always open to having people donate supplies for these projects as well.

New Recycling drop-off bin

Each year people drop off Sarcan recycling to help support providing subsidies to campers. (You can find our more about that here) Our drop off bin started off as a garbage bin around camp and we would like to build a new one, that protects against the weather better, is easier to access and hold boxes and bags of recycling equally well.

Deck Replacement

Need to build a new deck, approximately 16 x 12 with new railing and stairs.

Suspended Ceiling Installation

Residence house needs basement suspended ceiling installed to (mostly) finish the basement area. The space would be two small rooms and a open living room space.

Remove Old Railway Ties

Many of the old ties around our roadways have stated to degrade to the point they all need to come out. We would like to remove the existing ties and simply go with a landscaped grass edge.

Chalet Stairs Landing Modification

Remove carpet on various landings in stairwells and install flooring. (because our stair are a combination of vinly flooring and carpet in makes cleaning them an complicated combination of sweeping and vacuuming. The carpet is becoming stained and worn and this should improve the look at cleanliness of our stairs.

Chalet Dining Hall Floor

This is obviously not an insignificant project. We’ve added it here for someone that would like to see this happen, but we would also need to see a donation of flooring or money to purchase flooring.
